Taja has been digging deep in her tarot scholarship and practice to support her interdisciplinary and multi-platform biomythography project II XI XX (two | eleven | twenty).

In the 2021 season finale of Taja Tuesday Artist Talks, she’ll be sharing:

  • Tarot Constellations 101 – how they’re calculated and the insights they provide

  • Memory work and how remembrance supports the crafting of biomyth

  • Her current methods, materials, and (re)sources to craft this project

As an added bonus: she will prepare tarot constellation spreadsheets for everyone who attends! It will include your constellation and all of your year cards for your lifetime (from birth to 100 years old). To receive this bonus, you must do all the following:

  1. Be a Patron at the Creative Conversation Level or above in December

  2. Fill out this form by 11:59p EST Friday December 3rd, 2021

  3. Show up to the talk no later than 7:45p EST Tuesday December 7th, 2021

After the talk, Taja will provide an orientation as well as answer questions about how to both read and work with the spreadsheet she has prepared for you. And if you're not interested in the tarot spreadsheet, you can still attend!

Last year Taja launched the Birth Justice Podcast NYC.

This year Taja launched II XI XX (two | eleven | twenty).

Both podcasts function as creative process for two distinct, multi-platform, interdisciplinary projects.

Tune in next Tuesday for this month's edition of Taja Tuesday Artist Talk, where she’ll be discussing how she uses podcasting as a form to work out concepts and as a method for creative research and development. Taja will also be sharing some exciting announcements about season 2 of the Birth Justice Podcast NYC that she will *not* be sharing publicly until 2022.

We currently live in an economic system that, by and large, does not support artists except when they create something for sale. The US economy could do more to support living artists beyond what they produce, but given the current systems and structures, many artists engage in the gig economy and take on jobs (full time, part time, consulting) to sustain themselves and invest in their work.

In this month’s Taja Tuesday Artist Talk, Taja will be sharing how she make sense and meaning of her paid gig work, and the ways in which that work has informed and inspired her creative projects to date. She’ll also be sharing her visions and hopes to sustain herself beyond the gig economy. After the talk, she’ll open up the Q&A space for dialogue and dreamstorming for how we can all move beyond selling our time.
