The inaugural Noire Pageant will be available for online on-demand rental this month. For only $20 you can watch both nights - the King Showcase and the Queen Showcase. (Taja Lindley participated in the Queen Showcase.) Each night featured spectacular performances from Black and POC artists. And the money you spend on your rental goes directly to the artists who participated in the pageant. Sales end 11:59pm on June 14th, and it’ll be available to watch for 48 hours beginning June 15th. The first year of Taja Lindley's residency with the NYC Health Department will culminate on Saturday April 18th with the Bronx Birth Justice Gathering - a day-long event featuring workshops and community conversations about reproductive health, rights, and justice in NYC and the Bronx specifically. It will be an opportunity for meaningful connections, sharing stories and experiences about navigating healthcare in the Bronx, and strategizing about next steps to address this maternal health crisis. *UPDATE* The Bronx Birth Justice Gathering - slated to happen Saturday April 18th, 2020 - is postponed until further notice due to concerns about the spread of exposure to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and in accordance with Gov. Cuomo’s New York on Pause executive order. An update will be posted on @bxbirthjustice as soon as a new date is confirmed.
